Angels are a recurrent motif in her recent work because
their universal symbolism throughout the world. They are common
to Ancient Rome and Fundamentalist Islam, to Christianity and
Buddhism. Wing messengers bring visions to American Indians and
Hindu Gurus. They are both hermaphrodites and androgynous. Angels
exist outside dogmas and gender politics.
