Equilibrium

The shadows are as important as the work itself. At dawn the eastern figure's shadow touches the western figure and as morning progresses the shadows move slowly apart. At noon the light divides the forms completely as though by a blade. But as the afternoon sun arcs the western figure's shadow reaches towards the east. Night falls and both are enveloped by shadow.
